Our client in the FMCG Industry is currently looking to employ an Area Sales Representative, based in Cape Town.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
- Proven sales experience in the Food Service FMCG sector.
- Experience dealing with national and regional clients with a strong record of success.
- Ability to work independently in a self-disciplined manner while meeting objectives.
- Must be willing and able to travel locally.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and reporting abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve sales targets.
- Results-driven with solid planning and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Area Sales Manager – Food Service.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve volume, revenue, and market share targets in the assigned area.
- Manage a portfolio of existing customers and secure new business with restaurants, hotels, caterers, cafes, and institutional clients.
- Drive sales to meet company objectives, focusing on sales volumes and pricing targets set by the Area Sales Manager.
- Build and manage relationships with foodservice clients (national and regional), including restaurants, QSRs, catering companies, and institutional clients.
- Provide input into sales forecasting, waste management, and logistics to ensure timeous delivery.
- Compile weekly and monthly feedback reports for the Area Sales Manager with data analysis and interpretation.
