Job summary

Sheshisa Finance is expanding and seeking an Area Manager to oversee Gauteng and North West operations, drive lending performance, and lead branch teams across multiple sites. The role combines field-based travel with hybrid operations, ensuring compliant processes and strong customer service while launching new branches.

You will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for achieving disbursement targets and minimizing bad debt as part of a high-performance, compliant sales

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory/managerial role in micro-lending/micro-finance.
• Strong lending metrics, credit risk assessment, and collections.
• In-depth knowledge of NCA and NCR compliance standards.
• Valid South African Driver’s Licence for regional travel.
• Experience setting up new retail branches and leading dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive Lending & Collection Performance: Own sales disbursement and collection targets across all regional branches while actively managing and minimizing bad debt portfolios.
• Multi-Site Operational Oversight: Conduct structured branch visits to ensure day-to-day operations, cash handling, and customer service adhere strictly to company standards.
• Lead & Develop Branch Teams: Recruit, train, roster, and mentor in-store consultants to foster a high-performance, compliant sales culture.
• Project Manage New Store Openings: Oversee new branch builds and setups from start to finish—coordinating fit-outs, logistics, signage, and staffing to ensure deadline-driven launches.
• Risk & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce 100% adherence to the National Credit Act (NCA), National Credit Regulator (NCR) guidelines, and internal risk policies through regular branch audits.

Sheshisa Finance is expanding its footprint and looking for a dynamic, results-driven Area Manager to oversee store operations, credit performance, and new branch rollouts across the Gauteng and North West regions.

Position Overview

• Role: Area Manager
• Location: North West & Gauteng (Hybrid / Field-based — not Head Office bound)

What We’re Looking For

• Industry Experience: Proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role within the micro-lending / micro-finance sector (strictly required).
• Credit & Collections Acumen: Strong command of lending metrics, credit risk assessment, and collections management.
• Regulatory Mastery: In-depth working knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA) and NCR compliance standards.
• Field Mobility: Valid South African Driver’s License (essential for regional travel across Gauteng and North West).
• Project & People Leadership: Hands‑on experience setting up new retail branches and managing dispersed operational teams.
