About the Role

Our client, a prominent national provider of integrated facility services, is looking for an experienced Area Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee cleaning operations across multiple sites within the **Stellenbosch** region and surrounding areas. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality cleaning services, managing operational budgets, and leading a team of site supervisors and cleaning staff. The successful candidate will be adept at operational planning, resource allocation, client relationship management, and ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. This role requires a blend of on-site operational oversight and office-based strategic planning, making it a hybrid position. You will be the key point of contact for clients in your designated area, ensuring their cleaning needs are met efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall reputation and success of our client's services in the **Western Cape**.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct day-to-day cleaning operations across a portfolio of client sites in the **Stellenbosch** area.
• Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and performance standards for all cleaning activities.
• Oversee budgets for the assigned area, managing costs related to labor, supplies, and equipment.
• Lead, train, mentor, and manage cleaning supervisors and teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures across all sites.
• Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency gains.
• Ensure compliance with all labor laws and company HR policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in operations management, specifically within the cleaning or facilities management industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple sites and teams.
• Strong understanding of cleaning methodologies, hygiene standards, and the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with operational management software.
• Ability to travel regularly within the **Stellenbosch** area and occasionally further afield in the **Western Cape**.
• A valid driver's license is essential.
