Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Architectural Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects in the Eastern Cape. You will coordinate timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholders to deliver projects from concept to completion.

The role requires a Registered Architect with SACAP, strong PM experience, and proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, and Revit. You will lead client relationships and ensure compliance with design and building codes in a client-facing capacity.

About the Role

This role requires a blend of architectural expertise and strong project management skills to ensure successful project delivery, from concept to completion. You will be responsible for managing timelines, budgets, resources, and client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders. This is a key position for an individual looking to take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion within the Eastern Cape region, working in a client-facing capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these targets.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the preparation of all necessary architectural documentation and contract administration.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders.

Requirements

• Registered Architect with SACAP or a related professional qualification with significant project management experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural practice, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
• Proficiency in project management software and architectural design tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Revit).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects in East London or similar regional contexts is advantageous.
