About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the maritime and logistics industry, is looking for an eager Apprentice Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team based in the bustling port city of Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This apprenticeship is designed for individuals keen on understanding and managing the complexities of global and local supply chains. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in coordinating shipments, managing inventory, liaising with shipping lines and freight forwarders, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. This role involves a blend of on-site operations and remote coordination, providing a comprehensive understanding of the logistics landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the movement of goods, both domestically and internationally.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, and trucking companies to arrange transportation.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
