Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Appliance Repair Technician for Cape Town. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of domestic appliances for residential clients, contributing to high customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong technical aptitude and the ability to work independently within a service network. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with home appliances, be comfortable with evening/weekend calls, and possess a valid driver's license to service

Qualifications

Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced Appliance Repair Technician to join their growing maintenance team in Cape Town . You will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of domestic appliances for residential clients. This role demands excellent technical aptitude, customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a wider service network. You will contribute directly to customer satisfaction by restoring essential home appliances to full working order, ensuring a high standard of service delivery within the Cape Town metropolitan area and its surrounding suburbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair common faults in various home appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and dishwashers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service checks to ensure appliance longevity and efficiency.
• Order and replace faulty parts, maintaining accurate inventory and service records.
• Provide clear explanations to customers regarding the issues found and the repair process.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures during service calls.
• Respond promptly to service requests and manage a daily schedule effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Appliance Repair Technician or in a similar technical repair role.
• Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in common household appliances.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment used for appliance repair.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends as required by client needs in Cape Town .
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
