Analytics Solutions Architect

Location: Cape Town
Working Model: Hybrid, 2 days in office and 3 days remote
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a global digital and technology business, for an experienced Analytics Solutions Architect to join their Cape Town team.

The successful candidate will lead technically advanced analytics and measurement implementations, help scope client requirements and design solutions to complex measurement challenges. The role combines hands‑on technical analytics, client engagement, solution design and mentoring of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver advanced analytics implementation projects.
• Design comprehensive measurement frameworks aligned with client requirements.
• Scope new opportunities and translate client challenges into practical technical solutions.
• Provide technical analytics support to clients and internal teams.
• Lead client workshops and training sessions on analytics and measurement topics.
• Carry out QA across technical implementations.
• Identify project risks, blockers and potential delivery issues.
• Manage client expectations and communicate technical solutions clearly.
• Work with complex systems, including GCP, where coding may be required.
• Support implementation and troubleshooting across Consent Management Platforms.
• Lead server-side tagging and measurement implementations.
• Translate business objectives into KPIs, digital goals, measurement plans and technical deliverables.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Technical Requirements

• Advanced JavaScript and HTML.
• Strong Google Analytics 4 (GA4) experience.
• Strong Google Tag Manager (GTM) experience.
• Experience auditing, implementing and troubleshooting Google and Meta tags.
• Strong dataLayer implementation and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Looker Studio.
• Strong understanding of privacy and measurement solutions including Consent Mode and Enhanced Conversions.
• Experience with server-side tagging.
• Experience with Consent Management Platforms such as OneTrust or Didomi.
• Experience working across both web and app environments.
• Strong understanding of measurement frameworks.
• Exposure to GCP and more complex technical analytics environments.

Preferred Certifications

• Google Analytics 4 Certification
• Google Tag Manager Certification
• Privacy-related certification
