Job summary

Lotus Recruitment is seeking a laboratory specialist to test and evaluate binders, aggregates, and related construction materials. You will support product formulation, plant operations, and field assessments, ensuring adherence to testing standards.

Strong reporting, scientific writing and presentation skills are essential, with the ability to travel to sites and work away from home as required. ISO 9001 experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or related field.
• Solid knowledge of testing standards (SANS, ASTM, AASHTO, EN or COTO).
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems is advantageous.
• Strong report writing and technical presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate binders, raw materials, aggregates and related construction materials.
• Provide technical troubleshooting for product formulation, plant and field operations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure standard test methods are followed.
• Travel to sites and work away from home when required.
