Job summary

A leading seafood company is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join their Trawling Division in Cape Town. You will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of refrigeration equipment, including ammonia systems. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Refrigeration Technician and hold relevant qualifications. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the operational efficiency of refrigeration and HVAC equipment on board vessels and facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Refrigeration Technician working with Ammonia.
• Safe handling of Refrigerants is required.
• Knowledge of current SANS 10147 standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Repair and maintain ammonia and non-ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units and HVAC systems.

Education

Grade 12 / Matric

NQF 4 qualification as Refrigeration Technician
