Placements24 is seeking a skilled Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician to join our Port Elizabeth maintenance facility. You will handle repair, fabrication, and installation of aircraft structures, focusing on metallic components, ensuring precision and adherence to aerospace specs.

Required experience in sheet metal fabrication, reading aerospace drawings, and use of precision tools. You will work in a fast-paced MRO environment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician or similar structural repair role
• Ability to read aerospace blueprints and technical documentation
• Proficient with sheet metal fabrication tools and precision measuring instruments
• Knowledge of metals and properties relevant to aircraft structures
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced MRO environment

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, modify, and repair aircraft structural components using sheet metal techniques
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work specifications
• Perform inspections of repairs and installations for airworthiness compliance
• Operate sheet metal brakes, shears, and forming equipment
• Weld, rivet, and fasten sheet metal parts per technical requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols

Key Responsibilities
