Placements24 is seeking a skilled Aircraft Performance Engineer to join our client’s technical operations team in Polokwane. This hybrid role focuses on analyzing and optimizing aircraft performance data to improve fuel efficiency, flight safety, and reduce operating costs.

You will collaborate with flight operations, maintenance, and engineering to implement data-driven strategies, develop algorithms for flight paths, fuel planning, and weight and balance, and prepare technical reports on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft performance analysis or flight operations engineering.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming (MATLAB, Python, SQL).
• Experience with flight data monitoring (FDM) systems and analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze flight data to assess aircraft performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and refine algorithms for optimizing flight paths, fuel planning, and weight and balance calculations.
• Collaborate with flight crews and operations personnel to ensure accurate data collection and application of performance strategies.
• Conduct research and evaluate new technologies or methodologies for improving aircraft performance.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations on performance findings and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations related to aircraft performance and operations.
