Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a physically fit Aircraft Load Master / Cargo Handler to join our operational team in Queenstown. You will supervise loading and unloading of cargo, verify weight and balance, and ensure loads are secured according to safety standards.

The role requires effective communication with flight crews and ground staff, adherence to regulatory practices, and the ability to operate ground support equipment. Ongoing training and certification opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Aircraft Load Master or similar Cargo Handling in aviation.
• Strong understanding of aircraft weight and balance principles and load planning.
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with ground support equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise loading and unloading of cargo, baggage, and mail onto aircraft.
• Calculate and verify aircraft weight and balance according to load plans and regulations.
• Secure cargo using restraints, dunnage, and equipment.
• Operate ground support equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with flight crew and ground personnel to ensure timely turnaround.
• Inspect cargo for damage or irregularities and report findings.
