Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Interior Systems Technician for our client in George, Western Cape. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, and upgrade of cabin interiors, including seating, galleys, lavatories, IFE, and lighting.

You will work to keep passenger comfort, safety, and satisfaction at the highest standards. You should have proven experience in interior systems, ability to read manuals and drawings, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as Aircraft Interior Technician or similar.
• Strong knowledge of cabin systems (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing).
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience with interior components installation and upgrades.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Flexible to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft interior systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components in the cabin.
• Install, modify, and upgrade interior components such as seats, carpets, and overhead bins.
• Service galley equipment, lavatories, and IFE systems.
• Ensure work follows maintenance data and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other maintenance teams for interior integration.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with inventory management of interior parts.
• Respond to emergent cabin interior issues during checks.
