About the Role

Our client, a specialized aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility, is seeking a skilled Aircraft Interior Systems Technician to join their workshop in **Klerksdorp, North West**. This role is dedicated to the installation, repair, and maintenance of complex aircraft interior systems, including in-flight entertainment (IFE), cabin lighting, galleys, lavatories, and seating. You will be responsible for ensuring that all interior systems are functional, compliant with safety regulations, and meet the high standards expected by our client's customers. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented technician looking to contribute to the passenger experience in aviation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair various aircraft interior systems such as IFE, lighting, seats, galleys, and lavatories.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, identifying faults and implementing effective repairs.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance instructions to perform tasks accurately.
• Ensure all work performed complies with aviation safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
• Perform modifications and upgrades to interior systems as required.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time expended.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient workflow and problem resolution.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures for interior systems.
• Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in aircraft cabin systems.

Requirements

• A relevant technical qualification or certification in aircraft maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) working with aircraft interior systems, preferably on commercial or corporate aircraft.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and basic troubleshooting principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations pertaining to cabin safety and functionality.
