Placements24 is seeking a creative Aircraft Interior Systems Designer to join a fully remote team. You will conceptualize, design, and develop innovative cabin layouts and interior systems for commercial and private aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAR/EASA standards.

You will work with global clients and engineering teams, using advanced CAD tools to create 3D models, renderings, and detailed specifications for manufacturability and integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 6 years in aircraft interior design or aerospace.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (CATIA/SolidWorks/AutoCAD).

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and technically adept Aircraft Interior Systems Designer to join their fully remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative interior systems for commercial and private aircraft. This includes cabin layouts, seating arrangements, galley and lavatory systems, and entertainment and connectivity solutions, all while adhering to strict aviation safety and regulatory standards. You will work collaboratively with clients and engineering teams across the globe, using advanced design software to bring sophisticated cabin environments to life. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design functional and aesthetically pleasing aircraft interior layouts and systems, including seating, galleys, and lavatories.
• Develop detailed design specifications, 3D models, and renderings using CAD and design software.
• Ensure all designs comply with aviation safety regulations (e.g., FAR, EASA), structural integrity requirements, and weight limitations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the manufacturability and integration of interior systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
