Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive AI Operations (AIOps) Engineer to join the Polokwane-based infrastructure team. The role focuses on applying AI/ML to enhance reliability, performance, and efficiency of IT operations, including implementing AIOps platforms and predictive models for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT operations, SRE, or systems administration.
• Experience with monitoring tools, log management systems, and IT automation technologies.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in IT operations is essential.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and manage AIOps platforms and tools to monitor system health and performance.
• Analyze large volumes of operational data (logs, metrics, traces) to identify patterns and anomalies using AI/ML techniques.
• Develop and deploy predictive models for proactive issue detection and capacity planning.
• Automate incident response processes, including root cause analysis and remediation actions.
• Collaborate with IT operations, SRE, and development teams to integrate AIOps solutions.
• Continuously optimize AIOps tools and workflows for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
