About the Role

Our client, a prominent leader in the technology sector, is looking for an innovative AI Solutions Architect to join their dedicated team in Pretoria, Gauteng . This role is central to designing and implementing sophisticated AI and machine learning solutions that address complex business challenges for our diverse clientele. You will act as a bridge between business needs and technical capabilities, translating strategic objectives into actionable AI architectures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various AI/ML techniques, cloud platforms, and data analytics tools. This is a hands-on role where you will architect end-to-end solutions, from conceptualization and data strategy to deployment and integration. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and maximum impact. This position requires a strong on-site presence to foster close collaboration within the team and with local clients in Pretoria, Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable and robust AI/ML solutions tailored to specific business needs. Lead the technical aspects of AI project lifecycles, from discovery and design to implementation and deployment. Collaborate with data scientists to select appropriate algorithms and models for various use cases. Define data strategies, including data acquisition, preprocessing, and governance for AI initiatives. Evaluate and recommend cloud-based AI/ML services and platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform). Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes to demonstrate the value of AI solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams. Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing AI/ML solutions, data engineering, or software development. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques. Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
