Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is hiring a Data and Automation Systems Builder based in South Africa. You will design and implement AI-powered data pipelines, dashboards, and automated workflows that surface issues in real time.

You’ll translate ambiguous business needs into production-ready solutions and collaborate with engineering, automation, and business teams to strengthen the data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building data/automation systems, not just analyzing data.
• Builder mindset to navigate ambiguous problems with research and iteration.
• Hands-on with SQL and cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery).
• Experience with BI/dashboarding (Looker Studio or similar).
• Practical experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n/Make or scripting).
• Proven ability to deploy end-to-end tools and workflows from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered data engine supporting natural-language queries.
• Build automated data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting systems.
• Translate loosely defined requirements into end-to-end technical solutions.
• Create real-time alerts and automated triggers for process issues.
• Surface events across platforms to identify bottlenecks and slowdowns.
• Develop and maintain automations linking raw data to reporting and monitoring.
• Investigate and resolve data quality and pipeline issues at source.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development and debugging.
• Collaborate with engineering, automation, and business stakeholders.
• Create lightweight documentation for non-technical managers.
