Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled AI Platform Engineer to join their growing AI & Emerging Technologies team in Paarl. You will build, maintain, and scale the infrastructure powering our AI and ML initiatives, including cloud resources, data pipelines, and AI development environments.

This hybrid role is ideal for engineers who enjoy tackling complex infrastructure challenges and contributing to foundational AI solutions, collaborating with data scientists to deliver robust tooling and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of ML workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-based infrastructure for AI/ML workloads.
