ATS Client in Cape Town seeks an Intermediate AI-Native Software Engineer to build scalable fintech payment infrastructure. You’ll design APIs for payments, KYC/AML, and partner integrations, while advancing security and reliability across the stack.

The role blends traditional engineering with AI-driven tooling, requiring collaboration with senior teams and a passion for learning new technologies in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience as a full stack engineer in fintech/payments.
• Experience with Node.js/TypeScript; Python/Java a plus.
• Frontend with React.js or Vue.js experience.
• Relational and NoSQL databases familiarity.
• API development with REST/GraphQL.
• Security, data handling, and encryption basics.
• Git, CI/CD, and Docker familiarity.
• Interest in blockchain, Web3 APIs, and AI-native tooling.
• Experience in African payments ecosystem and cloud platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop scalable web/app applications for payments and settlements.
• Build and maintain APIs supporting payment processing, KYC/AML, and partner integrations.
• Participate in code reviews to improve performance, security, reliability.
• Support integrations with payment gateways, banks, and third-party services.
• Build internal tools for operations, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Follow secure coding practices and internal security guidelines.
• Collaborate with compliance on KYC, AML, and transaction monitoring features.
• Learn and apply best practices for data privacy and platform security.
• Work with senior engineers, PMs, and operations to deliver features.
• Proactively learn new tech and improve existing systems.
