Placements24 is seeking an AI Infrastructure Engineer to join our client in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design, deploy, and optimize scalable AI/ML infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and build robust CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.

You'll ensure monitoring, security, cost efficiency, and reliability while collaborating with data scientists and ML engineers to enable cutting-edge AI development in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE focusing on AI/ML workloads.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP and services.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking, storage, and compute tech.
• Familiar with MLOps concepts is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient AI/ML infrastructure on cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation and AI model deployment.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure health and performance.
• Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability for large workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand infrastructure needs.
• Implement and manage Docker and Kubernetes for AI applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in production environments.
• Ensure security and compliance of the AI infrastructure.
• Contribute to capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
