Job summary

e-Merge IT Recruitment seeks an AI Forward Deployment Engineer to bring voice AI into live client environments in South Africa. You’ll integrate AI agents with telephony, CRM and data systems, configure agent behaviour and transfer logic, and take solutions from engineering into production.

You’ll own delivery, work directly with clients, troubleshoot across integrations and APIs, and move deployments from concept to real business operations.

We’re looking for an AI Forward Deployment Engineer to bring voice AI into real client environments. You’ll integrate AI agents with telephony, CRM and data systems, configure agent behaviour and transfer logic, and take solutions from engineering into live production.

This is hands on engineering, client facing problem solving and real ownership of delivery.

No endless proofs of concept. You’re here to make the technology work.

You’ll be working with a voice AI platform, connecting the dots between intelligent agents and the systems businesses already rely on.

Your world will include:

• Integrating AI solutions with client telephony, CRM and data environments
• Configuring AI agents, workflows and transfer logic
• Building and troubleshooting API integrations
• Working directly with clients to solve complex technical challenges
• Taking client implementations live and owning delivery outcomes

THE TECH STACK IS BUILT FOR WHAT’S NEXT

Expect to work across:

The engineering culture is AI tooling first, with Claude Code or Cursor integrated into a GitHub based workflow.

You’ll work alongside a small, senior engineering team where technical architects set direction, player coach leads drive delivery and engineers take ownership of production outcomes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

THE essentials:

• Python or scripting skills
• Confidence working directly with clients
• The ability to troubleshoot, think independently and turn technical challenges into working solutions

Bonus points if you have:

• Telephony APIs such as SIP or Twilio
• Collections platforms such as Midcore
