Placements24 is seeking an AI Ethics Specialist to join our client in Benoni on a hybrid basis. You will help shape responsible AI development, create ethical guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and promote best practices across departments.

The role requires a strong foundation in ethics with practical policy experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders while working collaboratively with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Philosophy, Ethics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML concepts and their ethical implications.
• Experience in policy development, risk assessment, or compliance, preferably in technology.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ethical frameworks and policies for AI development and deployment.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments of AI systems and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Educate and advise technical teams and stakeholders on responsible AI principles and practices.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments in AI ethics and compliance.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops on AI ethics and responsible innovation.
