Placements24 is seeking an AI Ethics & Governance Officer to join our East London operations in Eastern Cape. The role focuses on aligning AI development and deployment with ethical principles, regulatory requirements and responsible innovation.

You will help establish governance frameworks, conduct risk assessments and promote awareness of ethical AI within projects. The hybrid model balances on-site collaboration with focused remote tasks.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Ethics, CS, Policy Studies or related field.
• 1-3 years in compliance, risk management, legal or related role, preferably with tech/AI exposure.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and ethical implications (bias, fairness, privacy).
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and ethical AI principles desirable.
• Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements
