Based in Durban with travel to global offices, the candidate will design guidelines, conduct audits for bias, and collaborate with product teams and regulators to ensure compliance with international AI ethics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field.
• 3–5 years of AI ethics, technology governance, or compliance experience.
• Experience developing ethical frameworks for emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of international AI ethics standards (EU AI Act, OECD).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ethical guidelines for AI development and deployment.
• Audit AI systems for bias, fairness, and transparency risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ethics in product lifecycles.
• Engage regulators and stakeholders to ensure AI governance compliance.
• Provide training and mentorship on AI ethics to teams.
