Placements24 is seeking an AI Ethics & Governance Specialist to lead governance frameworks, risk assessments, and ethical practices for AI systems in a fully remote role. You will collaborate with legal, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure responsible AI deployment globally.

The ideal candidate has degrees in Ethics, Law, CS, Public Policy or Philosophy, with strong understanding of AI, regulatory landscapes, and risk management. Remote work from anywhere within SA is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ethics, Law, Computer Science, Public Policy, or Philosophy.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and their societal implications.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks, policies, or compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of ethical principles, risk management, and regulatory requirements related to AI.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
