Job summary

Indsafri in Johannesburg seeks a payments AI engineer to design and deliver an AI-native Payments Operating System. You will build agentic workflows for reconciliations, audit, and financial analytics using multi-agent orchestration and modern AI tooling.

You will collaborate with Payments Backend, Infrastructure, Compliance, and AI Center of Excellence to scale reusable frameworks, templates, and dashboards that measure cost reduction and ROI.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying AI-enabled automation workflows.
• Ability to classify automation by risk tier and document data flows.
• Proficiency with AI tooling and integration of internal/external systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy agentic workflows for reconciliations, audits, and financial analytics.
• Integrate APIs and reporting systems; ensure production readiness and auditable controls.
• Collaborate with Payments Backend, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to scale automation.
