Job summary

Derivco is seeking a Front-End Developer (Level 2) to join our Software Engineering team in Durban to deliver reliable, well-architected, user-facing features across our regulated iGaming environment.

You will own end-to-end delivery — from UI design and implementation through testing, deployment, and post-release stability — while leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate your work without compromising on quality, security, or compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science required.
• 2–4 years progressive software development experience.
• Strong front-end skills in JS/TS, HTML5, CSS3 with React/Vue/Angular.
• Experience debugging, unit/integration testing, and code review.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, RESTful APIs, and front-end–back-end integration.
• Understanding responsive design, accessibility, and UI performance.
• Growing capability with AI-assisted development tools and agile practices.
• Knowledge of secure coding and regulatory considerations in iGaming.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement front-end features end-to-end — responsive, accessible, fast UIs with CI/CD and automated tests.
• Translate UI/UX designs into clean, maintainable front-end code with design/product stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring security and compliance.
• Own the full quality of work with unit, integration, and exploratory testing across browsers/devices.
• Review teammates' code and provide constructive feedback, including AI-generated solutions.
• Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and anomalies within agreed timelines.
• Apply secure coding practices and consider regulatory obligations in iGaming.
• Contribute planning, estimation, and backlog refinement input.
