Job summary

Ashley Kruth is seeking an experienced AI Analytics Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit Function in Johannesburg. You will design, build and support AI models and data analytics solutions to strengthen audit quality and risk decisions across the business.

Responsibilities include designing analytics, executing data procedures, mentoring junior staff and communicating findings to diverse stakeholders, while remaining up to date with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a quantitative or business field.
• 6+ years in data analytics or related roles; 1+ year AI builder.
• Strong experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, DAX, IDEA, R or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support AI models to enhance audits and risk decisions.
• Lead data analytics procedures within integrated audits and analytics reviews.
• Identify risks and design analytics to address control gaps and inefficiencies.
• Develop data models, dashboards and reports to surface findings.
• Plan audit engagements, including scope and timelines; manage analytics projects.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance to audit teams.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document analytics methodologies, data sources and ETL processes.
• Contribute to analytics and modelling business development activities.
