About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Agricultural Operations Supervisor to manage a key section of their farming operations in Port Elizabeth . This role requires a hands‑on approach to overseeing daily tasks, ensuring productivity, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety across the assigned area. You will be responsible for leading a team of agricultural workers, managing equipment, and ensuring the efficient execution of cultivation, planting, and harvesting schedules. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of horticultural or agricultural production methods and possesses excellent leadership capabilities within the Eastern Cape agricultural context.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and supervise the daily work of agricultural field staff involved in crop production. Ensure adherence to planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting schedules. Monitor crop health and identify any issues, escalating to management or agronomists as needed. Oversee the proper use and basic maintenance of farm machinery and tools. Implement and enforce workplace safety procedures for all team members.

Requirements

Proven experience in supervising agricultural field operations or a similar role. Knowledge of horticultural or crop production techniques. Experience managing and motivating teams of agricultural laborers. Ability to understand and follow operational plans and schedules.
