Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to lead software development teams in the Klerksdorp area. The role adopts a hybrid work model with key in-person planning and remote flexibility, focusing on fostering an Agile environment, guiding Scrum teams, and delivering high-quality software on schedule.

The ideal candidate has proven Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master experience, strong facilitation and coaching skills, and relevant certifications (CSM/PSM/PMP) to support

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience managing software development projects, preferably in a hybrid work environment.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CSM, PSM, or PMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach Scrum teams in adopting and adhering to Agile principles and practices.
• Identify and remove impediments blocking development progress.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a clear, well-prioritized backlog.
• Track team progress, manage project scope, and ensure timely software releases.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within teams.
