Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions in South Africa is seeking a Scrum Master to enable cross-functional product engineering teams to deliver value predictably. You will champion Agile practices, facilitate collaboration, and use data-driven insights to support continuous improvement.

You will work with Engineering, Product, TPMs, and Product Operations to manage dependencies, maintain delivery cadence, and drive clear outcomes.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead supporting software engineering teams.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
Proven facilitation and coaching skills with ability to navigate conflict and drive outcomes.
Comfort working with delivery metrics and basic analytics to translate data into decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, supporting Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban practices.
Own team-level delivery governance and predictability with clear goals and realistic planning.
Ensure work is visible, prioritized, and flowing through backlogs and boards.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, backlog refinement.
Coach teams on Agile principles, self-organization, and sustainable delivery practices.
Use qualitative and quantitative insights to identify bottlenecks and risks.
