Siriuz seeks an Agentic Systems Engineer to design and deploy production AI systems that go beyond simple automation. You will craft multi-step, tool-using agents that operate within operational workflows and coordinate across systems.

We expect hands-on experience with agent frameworks, model evaluation, and scalable data systems. Remote/hybrid role with South Africa-based teams and client-facing impact.

About this role

Siriuz partners with leadership, operations and product teams to turn AI into dependable working systems that support real execution. We do not build AI demos. We design and embed AI agents and orchestration layers directly into operational workflows so they become part of how businesses run.

We are hiring an Agentic Systems Engineer to design and deploy production AI systems that go far beyond chatbots and simple automation. This role sits at the edge of agentic AI systems, orchestration of agents, humans, tools and integrations, and coding agents and AI-assisted development.

You will build AI agents that execute real work: gathering information, calling tools, coordinating across systems, escalating intelligently, and continuously improving through monitoring and feedback. You will also leverage AI to build reliable data projects and reusable prototypes fast.

We are not looking for someone experimenting with LLMs. We are looking for someone already living at the frontier.

What You'll Build

• Multi-step agentic workflows embedded into operational systems
• Tool-using agents that call APIs, query databases and interact with internal platforms
• RAG systems across structured and unstructured enterprise knowledge
• Rapid prototypes that evolve into robust, production systems
• Data systems driven by AI development for efficiency

Technical Profile

• Actively tests and evaluates new model releases across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others
• Builds with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor or similar environments
• Builds agentic systems, not just linear automation
• Works with orchestration platforms such as n8n, Make or similar
• Understands MCP, agent skills and modern agent tooling
• Has hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex or alternatives
• Designs reasoning architecture, tool boundaries and memory models intentionally
• Implements evaluation, monitoring, guardrails and escalation paths
• Moves systems from prototype to governed production
• Translates AI capability into practical client value and measurable outcomes
• Experience as a data scientist, data engineer, full stack developer, consultant or analyst preferred
