Open Society Foundations in Johannesburg seeks a Program Manager for Economic and Climate Prosperity to lead country-level work in South Africa and Senegal. You will combine policy engagement, grant-making and partnerships to advance national and regional priorities.

The role requires extensive experience in climate and finance policy, strong stakeholder networks, and the ability to navigate complex government processes across regions, with travel as needed.

Formación

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in green industrial policy, international finance and trade systems.
• Experience working with national governments and development finance institutions.
• Strong understanding of South Africa's political and policy environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsabilidades

• Strategy and Country Planning: Develop country-level work plans including mapping of policy windows and politically feasible pathways for reform.
• Policy Analysis and Influence: Translate technical evidence into policy options, briefs and engagement strategies.
• Stakeholder Relationships and Representation: Build trusted relationships with government, public finance institutions, civil society and regional bodies.
• Grant and Consultant Contract Management: Manage grant-making processes, oversee contracts and contribute to strategy.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress, risks and report to the Associate Director of Programs.
