Job summary

Eaton in Johannesburg, South Africa seeks a Sales Manager Africa – Automotive Aftermarket to drive growth across IAM and OES channels in Sub-Saharan Africa. You will lead strategic sales, manage key accounts, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver engineered solutions for automotive, mining, and industrial segments.

The role demands 5+ years in automotive aftermarket sales, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English, with a focus on Southern and Eastern Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the Automotive Aftermarket.
• Experience developing business across African markets; Sub-Saharan Africa preferred.
• Experience managing customer programmes, technical solutions, or project-based environments.
• Experience with technical products, engineered solutions, or industrial applications.
• Fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales growth strategy across IAM and OES channels in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, accounts, OEMs, and partners.
• Lead customer strategies, operating plans, and growth initiatives aligned with objectives.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and profitability; analyze market trends and needs.
• Manage customer programmes and projects involving technical products and aftermarket solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project execution and satisfaction.
• Act as the primary commercial interface for complex customer requirements.
• Support customers in defining technical solutions for automotive and industrial applications.
• Monitor sales performance, forecasts, and reports; drive revenue and profitability targets.
• Promote CRR and continuous improvement for customer satisfaction and retention.
