Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is a remote, full-time AI-first digital agency seeking an AEO Specialist (Answer Engine Optimization). You will own search strategies for a B2B client roster, shaping the technical roadmap, content priorities, and the narrative around ranking movements.

You’ll be the strategic voice driving client outcomes and coordinate with writers and AI tools. You will manage technical SEO tasks, content prioritization, and performance reporting, collaborating with US clients on live calls

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with audits and fixes.
• Proficient with GA4, Search Console, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or SEMrush.
• Experience working with multiple clients in an agency.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema, and site structure.
• Develop keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers and AI input.
• Position clients in AI search alongside traditional results.
• Manage links, local search, and multi-location SEO as needed.
• Provide reporting in GA4 and Search Console and quarterly client roadmaps.

You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
