Job summary

Optimi Learning is seeking a qualified Facilitator to deliver quality teaching and training to adult learners through ASC programmes in the City of Cape Town area. The role emphasizes strong communication, patience, and adaptability to diverse groups of learners.

The successful candidate will prepare and deliver structured lessons, provide remedial support, mentor learners, assess competency, and participate in training sessions as required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Teaching diploma or degree is required.
• SACE registration is compulsory.
• Relevant teaching/training experience (ASC or related) is preferred.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Any additional training-related qualifications will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver structured lessons.
• Provide remedial support where required.
• Coach and mentor learners effectively.
• Assess learner competency in relevant areas and levels.
• Attend in-person classes.
• Mark the learners’ assessments.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet learner needs.
• Maintain effective communication with learners, management, and support teams.
• Demonstrate empathy and support learner development.
• Promote skills development and upliftment through ASC programmes.
• Attend required training sessions and meetings.
