Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Addiction Counselor for a treatment center in Randburg. The role focuses on guiding individuals through recovery, providing individual and group counseling, and developing personalized treatment plans to support lasting sobriety in Gauteng.

The ideal candidate will have a Counseling-related degree, at least 3 years of experience, and deep knowledge of addiction and recovery principles.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional certification or degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Addiction Counselor or in a similar capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of addiction, substance abuse, and recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments to determine addiction severity.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and relapse prevention strategies.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions on education, coping skills, and emotional processing.
• Provide ongoing support and encouragement throughout recovery.
• Educate clients and families about addiction and available resources.
• Maintain confidential client records and document progress.
