Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Addiction Counselor for a treatment center in Randburg. The role focuses on guiding individuals through recovery, providing individual and group counseling, and developing personalized treatment plans to support lasting sobriety in Gauteng.

The ideal candidate will have a Counseling-related degree, at least 3 years of experience, and deep knowledge of addiction and recovery principles.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Addiction Counselor to join their dedicated treatment center in Randburg . This role is focused on guiding individuals through the process of recovery from substance abuse and addiction. You will provide individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and offer support to clients and their families. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others overcome challenges and build a foundation for lasting sobriety in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments to determine the nature and severity of addiction and co-occurring disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans, including therapeutic interventions and relapse prevention strategies.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction education, coping skills, and emotional processing.
• Provide ongoing support and encouragement to clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery processes, and available support resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress and treatment adherence.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive client care.

Requirements
