Job summary

Our Retail Client based in Germiston, Gauteng, SA is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor. The role offers a monthly CTC around R60 000 depending on experience, with responsibilities including leading the AP team and ensuring accurate payment processing.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma/degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years in AP and 3+ years in a supervisory role, plus ERP experience. Applicants must uphold internal controls and optimize cash flow.

Qualifications

• Oversee the Accounts Payable function with accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Supervise the AP team, strengthen internal controls, improve processes and ensure policy compliance.
• Review supplier reconciliations and resolve queries timeously.
• Ensure adherence to payment terms and optimise cash flow management.
• Review rebates and discounts on supplier accounts for accuracy and timely recovery.
• Ensure AP system and ERP master data are accurate and up to date.
• Review and release payment batches.

Minimum requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
• 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• 3+ years in a supervisory or team lead role
• Experience with ERP systems
• Supervise and manage the full Accounts Payable function.
• Review supplier reconciliations and resolve queries timeously.
• Ensure adherence to payment terms and optimise cash flow management.
• Review the rebates and discounts processed on Supplier accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely recovery.
• Ensure the AP system is working optimally and master data for AP system and the ERP module is accurate and up to date
• Review and release payment batches
