Job summary

The Accounts Payable Manager at Fidelity Services Group (Pty) Ltd will oversee the AP function, ensuring accurate and timely payment of suppliers in line with contract terms.

Lead and develop the AP team, strengthen financial controls, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while managing payments through SAP and P2P processes.

The role emphasizes GR/IR reconciliation, supplier ageing, audit responses, and continuous improvement to cash flow and governance across the AP function.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Significant experience in Accounts Payable management.
• Experience leading a finance team.
• Proficiency with SAP and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GR/IR clearing account reconciliation and investigate outstanding items.
• Manage supplier reconciliations and ensure statements align with SAP reports.
• Monitor Accounts Payable ageing and resolve 90/120 day items with explanations.
• Investigate and resolve debit balances in AP ageing reports with management approval.
• Ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid within terms.
• Maintain supplier relationships and address payment-related issues to minimize disputes.
• Resolve outstanding invoices, supplier statements discrepancies and internal queries.
• Collaborate with internal units to resolve AP queries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with P2P processes, policies and controls.
• Review SAP DME payment files for accuracy before submission to Cashbook.
• Maintain and file payment documentation and supporting records.
