Accounts Payable Analyst (SAP) – Vendor Payments

Job summary

Empact Group seeks an Accounts Payable professional to ensure supplier accounts are accurate and payments are issued timely. You will reconcile ledgers, resolve supplier queries, and manage invoices, credits and remittances with SAP and Office tools.

The role requires experience in AP, supplier management, and strong MS Office skills. You will interact with procurement, finance colleagues, and regional managers to keep payment cycles smooth.

Qualifications

• Matric with certificate in Finance
• Degree/Diploma preferred
• 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable
• Experience managing a payments book with >50 suppliers
• Good people skills
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Trained in SAP Finance module – AP transactions

Responsibilities

• Reconcile vendor ledgers to supplier statements monthly
• Resolve supplier queries promptly and engage with procurement, finance, and unit/region managers
• Arrange and attend meetings with suppliers (in person or online)
• Verify invoices and credit notes
• Investigate price/quantity variances and request credits as needed
• Make timely payments according to terms and send remittances
• Request outstanding invoices, PODs, credit notes, claims, and statements
• Ensure invoices are captured only once in Worksmart or SAP
• Block invoices under investigation and unblock after clearance
• Verify payment proposals against reconciled accounts and docs
• Update vendor files with accounting clerk information monthly
• Maintain GR/IR accounts by processing valid invoices and credits
• Take ownership of supplier-related issues until resolution
• Complete control sheet and Vlookup by set deadlines
