Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking an Accounts Controller to optimise revenue by ensuring accurate patient billing and complete patient files with all supporting documentation. The role involves accurate and timely invoicing for charted items used during stays and ensuring final billed accounts, with liaison across departments to maintain client satisfaction.

Experience in healthcare environments is desirable, along with familiarity with tariff agreements, AS400, and Microsoft Office.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To optimise revenue by ensuring that an accurate account is generated for each patient and the patient file contains all the relevant supporting documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Accurate and timeous billing of all charted items used during the patient's stay
• Complete all patient files and ensure these contain all documents as well as a final billed account
• Utilise and control applicable reports to ensure prompt finalisation and rendering of accounts
• Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication with other departments
