Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for a client in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will lead a small team, ensuring accurate financial reporting for various entity types and providing practical insights from data analysis.

You will coach staff, review work, and ensure compliance with IFRS for SMEs, SAICA/SAIPA standards, and Tax regulations. Proficiency in CaseWare and Pastel is preferred, with strong communication in English and Afrikaans.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties.
• Team management skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken) (English and Afrikaans).
• Registered or eligible to register as Professional Accountant with SAIPA, Chartered Accountant or AGA(SA) with SAICA.
• BCOM/PGDA.
• Post article experience will be advantageous.
