Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for their client in Port Elizabeth. The role focuses on leading an accounting team, delivering accurate financial statements, and providing practical insights from financial data within a supportive culture.

The ideal candidate will have IFRS for SMEs knowledge, CaseWare proficiency, and post-article experience, with strong communication in English and Afrikaans. ASA(SA) registration or eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IFRS for SME's.
• Proficient in CaseWare working papers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties.
• Team management skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken) (English and Afrikaans).
• Registered or eligible to register as Professional Accountant with SAIPA, Chartered Accountant or AGA(SA) with SAICA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCom) or PGDA.
• Post article experience will be advantageous.

• Prepare accurate, clear, and error-free financial statements for companies, close corporations, trusts, and individuals.
• Apply sound technical expertise to analyze financial data and provide practical insights.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients through exceptional service delivery.
• Prepare and review tax computations in accordance with applicable legislation and professional standards.
• Review work completed by junior team members and trainees, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and compliance.
