Job summary

Dante Personnel is seeking a senior Finance/Accounting professional in Gauteng with extensive post-qualification experience. The role requires deep knowledge of accounting, auditing, and financial reporting, plus hands-on use of Sage ERP and advanced Excel capabilities.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively at all levels, is self-motivated, and able to meet tight financial reporting deadlines while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position is based on-site in Gauteng, SA.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 and a relevant accounting-related qualification.
• 35 years post-qualification experience in Finance/Accounting.
• Strong understanding of Accounting and Auditing processes.
• Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Experience with financial functions such as debtors/receivables, creditors/payables, fixed assets, inventory reconciliations, VAT, accruals and provisions, cash allocations, and financial reporting.
• Provide audit support and assist with financial reconciliations.
• Collaborate with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 Relevant academic qualification in Accounting or a related field 35 years post-qualification experience in a Finance/Accounting department Thorough understanding and practical application of Accounting and Auditing Knowledge of SAGE ERP system Advanced Excel skills, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Confidence communicating with colleagues at all levels of the organisation Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with a positive attitude Ability to work accurately and meet financial reporting deadlines Experience with or understanding of financial functions such as:
