Job summary

Red Bull South Africa is offering a 6-month internship in our accounting department. You will support the finance team while gaining insight into supplier management and financial controls, reporting directly to the Chief Accountant.

This temp role is ideal for a driven, organized student with strong Excel skills and an interest in SAP. You will work in a team, handle invoices, reconciliations, and management reporting, contributing to efficient financial processes.

Qualifications

• Relevant diploma or degree
• Excellent accounting knowledge and strong reconciliation and analytic skills.
• Driven self-starter with energy and enthusiasm to work efficiently within a team.
• Well organized and able to work under pressure.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Excel intermediate to advanced level.
• First experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Processing of invoices in SAP.
• Maintaining quality of financial control by reviewing coding and authorizations.
• Monitor vendor account balances and ensure accounts remain in a credit status.
• Assist with analyzing invoices and prepare reports on actuals costs vs. budget.
• Keeping a record of reporting items for management reporting.
• Dealing promptly with queries from vendors and employees.
• Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and employees.
• Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks within the accounting department.

We are looking for a motivated talent to join our team for a 6-month internship in the accounting department. This internship within our finance team offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to experience the "World of Red Bull" from a finance perspective. You will assist with the finance aspects of managing key suppliers of Red Bull South Africa as well as ensuring and maintaining the quality of the financial control environment by evaluating processes and driving efficiencies. You will work in a team environment and report directly to the Chief Accountant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processing of invoices in SAP.
• Ensuring and maintaining the quality of the financial control environment by reviewing coding and authorizations.
• Monitoring vendor account balances, ensuring accounts remain in a credit status.
• Assisting with analyzing the invoices posted by preparing various reports on actuals costs vs. budget.
• Keeping a record of reporting items for management reporting.
• Dealing promptly and efficiently with queries from both vendors and employees.
• Building and maintaining relationships with both vendors and employees.
