Job summary

Ikwezi Mining (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the general ledger, month-end processes, inventory costing, and tax compliance in a trading/mining context. You will handle JEs, reconciliations, VAT, and SARS eFiling, coordinating with senior staff.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, SAICA/SAIPA progress, and proficiency with Sage/Pastel/SAP/Syspro and Excel. On-site in Komatipoort, Mpumalanga.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or equivalent; SAICA/SAIPA articles pursued or completed.
• 3+ years accounting experience including month-end ownership; mining/trading/logistics exposure.

Responsibilities

• General ledger & month-end: prepare/post journals, reconciliations, maintain fixed asset register.
• Inventory & cost of sales: reconcile stock, verify landed costs, support stock counts.
• Creditors & imports: process/reconcile supplier accounts, FX differences, 3-way matching.
• Debtors: process invoices, allocate receipts, reconcile debtors, support collections.
• Tax & compliance: VAT reconciliations/returns, SARS eFiling inputs, assist with audits.
