Job summary

[Unknown] Edenvale is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to maintain financial records, ensure IFRS compliance, and provide accurate reporting to support strategic decisions. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, controls, and import/export finance processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in financial reporting, experience with Sage One Accounting, and strong analytical and stakeholder management skills to drive financial efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant accounting experience in financial reporting or finance.
• Experience with Sage One Accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and reconciliations.
• Exposure to fixed asset accounting and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights into business performance.
• Ensure IFRS compliance, financial regulations and governance.
• Maintain internal financial controls and risk management processes.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate records.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules and capex reporting.
• Support external audits and statutory reporting.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
• Manage accounting records and transactions on Sage One Accounting.
• Monitor import and export financial processes and regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and greater financial efficiency.
