Job summary

Acumen Group in Irene, Gauteng, is seeking a hands-on Accountant to join a growing finance team. The role involves daily financial operations and strategic development of the finance function, reporting to the Head of Finance.

You will work closely with operational teams, support decision-making with robust financial reporting, and help implement improved systems and controls in a dynamic business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BCom or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-8 years' post-qualification accounting experience.
• Experience managing or supporting a small team.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, VAT, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Experience analysing financial performance and supporting business decision-making.
• Involvement in audit preparation and completion.
• Strong knowledge of Xero and advanced Excel skills.
• Collaborative, hands-on approach working across departments.

Responsibilities
